Baabda: MP Taymour Jumblatt, on Thursday heading a delegation from the Progressive Socialist Party and the Democratic Gathering bloc, visited President Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace. Following the meeting, Jumblatt stated that the visit aimed to express support and solidarity with the president under the current circumstances.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Jumblatt highlighted that residents of south Lebanon are "paying the price for the recklessness of some parties in Lebanon and abroad." He emphasized that the decision of war and peace must remain in the hands of the Lebanese state. Jumblatt also called for strict adherence to and implementation of the Taif Agreement and reaffirmed political and moral support for the Lebanese Army.
