Beirut: Kataeb Party deputies for Northern Metn, Samy Gemayel and Elias Hankach, issued a statement Thursday expressing full solidarity with displaced residents and reaffirming their support amid ongoing massive displacement. The deputies noted that the Northern Metn district has reached its maximum capacity, prompting calls for clear organizational and security measures to manage the situation effectively and preserve stability in the area.

According to National Nws Aency - Lebanon, Gemayel and Hankach urged the Lebanese Army and security agencies to intensify their presence on the ground by establishing fixed checkpoints and conducting regular patrols across Northern Metn. They emphasized the importance of close coordination between the security forces and municipal police to maintain public order and enable a rapid response to emergencies.

The deputies also warned against the display of political slogans or any provocative behavior within or near shelters, citing the risk of tensions. They called on the Ministry of Interior to issue a directive restricting the use of heavily tinted vehicle windows during this period, limiting such vehicles to official government use to facilitate the work of security forces.

"These measures are aimed at protecting all residents of the region, both locals and displaced persons," the statement concluded, highlighting the deputies' commitment to humanitarian and national values that have long characterized the region and its people.
