EGYPTIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ARRIVES IN LEBANON TO MEET SENIOR OFFICIALS

NNA – Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Beirut this morning, on a visit during which he will meet with senior Lebanese officials and party leaders.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs was welcomed at Rafic Hariri International Airport by Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe, Egypt’s Ambassador Yasser Alawi, Director of Protocol at the Lebanese Foreign Ministry Ambassador Abeer Al-Ali and members of the Egyptian diplomatic mission.

Shoukry and the accompanying delegation’s visit comes, according to a statement issued by the media office of the Egyptian embassy, ​​”within the framework of the Egyptian efforts to urge the Lebanese political parties to expedite the formation of the rescue government, in light of the great concern harbored by the Egyptian political leadership towards Lebanon’s stability and the need to overcome the crises it is currently going through.”
