NNA – Governor of Beirut, Judge Marwan Abboud, received at his office this Tuesday the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Andreas Kindle, at the head of a German delegation, with talks reportedly touching on the reconstruction of Beirut Port after the great damage it suffered as a result of the explosion of August 4.

The delegation “briefed Abboud on the details of the project which would secure about 50 thousand new job opportunities for young people, by pumping millions of dollars through European and global investments, which would contribute to the port’s reconstruction and to the strengthening of its regional and international role.”

The full details of the plan to reconstruct the Beirut port will be announced in a press conference to be held by the German side next Thursday.
