LEBANESE FORCES SAYS WILL SUE AL-AKHBAR, 180POST NEWS OUTLETS OVER CLAIMS ABOUT MOBILIZATION TO FIGHT HEZBOLLAH

The Lebanese Forces said Tuesday it will sue al-Akhbar daily and 180post.com website for fabrication of news claiming that party leader Samir Geagea had mobilized thousands of fighters to engage in military combat with Hezbollah.

 

“The LF flatly denies the content of the article published by al-Akhbar newspaper today and titled ‘Geagea to Jumblatt: I have 15 thousand fighters and I am ready to face Hezbollah”, as well as the article published by 180post.com and titled ‘Geagea stronger than Bachir and Nasrallah weaker than Arafat,” the party said in a statement.

 

Also, the party rejected “the unfounded statements attributed to Progressive Socialist Party leader, Walid Jumblatt, about the LF armament.
