Commemorating the October 17th Protest Movement, the “For Lebanon Only” Movement organized Saturday a convoy of vehicles that set out this morning from BIEL in downtown Beirut towards the Central Bank in Hamra, passing through different areas far-reaching Martyrs’ Square in central Beirut.

Protesters stressed in their words on the occasion that their moves are in continuation of what was started last October, vowing to pursue the confrontation against the corruption of the ruling political class which has led to the current state of collapse in the country.

They referred to the failure of the previous governments and highlighted the urgent need to have a mini revolutionist government with exceptional legislative powers to work on restoring the looted funds and holding the parliamentary elections.

Participants also pledged to the families of the martyrs of the October 17 revolution and the Beirut Port explosion to continue with their march forward for the sake of the nation.

Protesters’ words were transmitted through the ‘TV Seventeen’ screen which began today, coinciding with the October 17th annual commemoration.
