(UPDATE) BATCHES OF CHINA’S SINOPHARM VACCINE REACH LEBANON

NNA – A Qatar Airways plane carrying 50 thousand shots of China’s Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine has arrived at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International airport, as a donation from the Chinese authorities to the Lebanese government and for the benefit of the Lebanese army.

Welcoming the plane at the airport had been Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hassan, Director of Protocol at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ambassador Abeer al-Ali,  representing Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Charbel Wehbe, Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Wang Kejian, Major General Elias el-Shamiya representing Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, Head of Beirut airport security, Brigadier General George Doumit,  a delegation of the army command, a delegation from the Chinese Embassy, as well as the medical team of the Ministry of Health at the airport.
