Beirut: Labor Minister, Mohammad Haidar, on Thursday engaged in a series of discussions with key stakeholders, focusing on labor rights and sectoral challenges. Haidar's meeting with Claire Moulders, Deputy Regional Director and Director of the Decent Work Team for Arab States at the International Labour Organization, centered around issues of mutual interest, underscoring the ongoing collaboration between Lebanon and the ILO.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a separate meeting, Haidar received former minister Abdallah Farhat and later engaged with representatives from the employees' union of the Alfa and MTC Touch mobile operators. Marc Aoun, union president, led the discussions which emphasized the need for compliance with decisions issued by the Council of State and the Council of Ministers regarding end-of-service indemnities. The implementation of the collective labor agreement was also a key focus, with Aoun expressing gratitude to the minister for his support of workers' rights.

Additionally, Haidar met with a delegation from the Bakers' Syndicate in North Lebanon, led by Tarek Al Mir. The talks aimed to address pressing issues impacting the bakery sector, highlighting the minister's commitment to tackling sector-specific challenges.
