Beirut:The office of Labor Minister Dr. Mohammad Haidar has issued a warning about a fraudulent Facebook page that is using the minister's name and photograph to impersonate his personal account.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the office clarified that the fake page is not affiliated with Haidar or his office. It urged the public to avoid interacting with the page, responding to its messages, or providing any personal information.

The issue has been escalated to the Public Prosecution, which has sanctioned legal measures against those responsible for the creation and management of the page. The Internal Security Forces' Cybercrime Bureau has initiated an investigation to track down the individuals behind the account.

The office highlighted that any legitimate communication or statement from Minister Haidar or his office will only be disseminated through official channels and encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities related to impersonation.
