LEBANESE NATIONAL TEAM TO PLAY DECISIVE MATCH AGAINST IRISH TEAM IN WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS TOMORROW

Lebanon’s national rugby league team will play its second match in the World Cup qualifiers against Ireland at the “Lee Sport Village” stadium tomorrow, Sunday, at 4:30 p.m. (Beirut time), as part of the fourth group competitions that includes Lebanon, Ireland, New Zealand and Jamaica.

The Lebanese team lost its first match against New Zealand 12-34 (first half 12-18), while the Irish team won its first match against Jamaica.

Lebanon needs to beat Ireland to maintain its chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals, noting that Lebanon aspires to be in second place to ensure its direct qualification for the World Championship “France 2025”.
