Lebanese teacher investigated over sexual harassment claims

A high school teacher in Lebanon’s northern city of Tripoli accused of sexually harassing female students was sacked from his job earlier this week and is currently being investigated following an uproar. Secondary school teacher Samer Mawlawi was arrested after allegations he sent inappropriate messages and inappropriately touched some of his young female students, Lebanese Education Minister Abbas al-Halabi announced on Monday.
