Lebanon Commemorates Labor Day with Worker Gathering and Cultural Festival

Beirut: Lebanon marked International Workers’ Day with significant events organized by various labor organizations. The National Federation of Workers and Employees Trade Unions in Lebanon initiated the day’s activities with a gathering at their headquarters to honor the contributions of workers across the nation.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, a cultural poetry festival, titled ‘Tribute to the Worker on His Day,’ followed the gathering at the General Labor Union headquarters in Corniche Al-Nahr. This event was organized by the Association for Communication and Human Dialogue, Al-Hadath wal Khabar magazine and website Cam News, and the Sons of Beirut Association. The festival took place in cooperation with the General Labor Union and under the patronage of Minister of Labor Mohammad Haidar, highlighting the cultural significance of workers’ contributions to society.
