Beirut: The Central Bank of Lebanon has issued a statement urging media outlets to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors concerning comments allegedly made by the Governor of the Banque du Liban during recent meetings in Washington.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Central Bank emphasized that the reports circulating in some electronic media outlets are entirely baseless. The bank stressed the importance of accuracy and credibility, urging journalists and media organizations to rely solely on official statements issued by the Banque du Liban and its Governor, which are disseminated through the Media and Public Relations Unit.
The clarification aims to ensure that information shared with the public is accurate and to maintain the integrity of the information related to the country’s central banking activities.
