Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, held talks on Tuesday with visiting German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier touching on bilateral relations and means of boosting cooperation.
They pair also discussed Germany’s participation in the next three international conferences to be held for Lebanon: Rome 2, to support the Lebanese army and security forces, the Cedar Conference in Paris, to support the Lebanese economy, and the Brussels Conference, to support countries hosting Syrian refugees.
The German President arrived at the Grand Serail at 1:15 P.M where he was received by Prime Minister Hariri.
Both men later headed to the Prime Minister’s office where they held a meeting in the presence of the Minister of Culture Ghattas Khoury, the Ambassador of Lebanon to Germany Mustafa Adib and Hariri’s advisor for displaced affairs Nadim Munla, the German Ambassador to Lebanon Martin Huth and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting continued over a lunch banquet held by Hariri in honor of his guest.
