JUDGE AOUN ORDERS SEIZING OF ASOPOS FUEL VESSEL FOR LACK OF CONFORMITY WITH SPECIFICATIONS

Public Prosecutor in Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, has ordered the General Directorate of Customs to seize the fuel vessel ASOPOS anchored in Jounieh Bay, against the backdrop of laboratory test results which revealed inconformity with the required specifications, invalidating the fuel-quality tests conducted outside Lebanon.

It is noteworthy that judicial investigations have concluded that the said ship’s cargo belonged to Bb Energy, owned by Baha and Walid Bassatne.
