Culture Minister, Dr Ghattas Al-Khoury, on Thursday mourned the late ingenious artist, Moussa Maamari, eulogizing him as an extraordinary determined man who defied all challenges during his life and built the castle of his dreams- known as “Moussa Palace.”
The late Maamari built the Moussa palace in Lebanon’s Chouf region that became a national historical and cultural landmark and a vital and significant tourist destination.
Maamari died at the age of 87 and the funeral will be taking place upcoming Saturday in the town of Deir Al-Qamar.
Minister Khoury extolled the virtues and merits of the late Maamari, saying Maamari’s sturdy perseverance sets a role model for every human being to pursue the dream of his life, regardless of all impediments standing in the way.
Khoury offered condolences to the family of the late Maamari.
