MP Ghassan Moukheiber said Sunday that maintaining security was a top priority for the Lebanese.
“The challenge for the Lebanese is to give priority to the country’s security while maintaining public freedoms,” Moukheiber said during an interview to “Radio Lebanon” Station.
The lawmaker deemed that security forces should be reinforced by all means, in order to maintain security in the country.
“We must strengthen the Lebanese security forces in all aspects within the framework of their subordination to the political authority and the law,” Moukheiber added.
Commenting on the controversial issue of signing the decree to promote a number of Lebanese Army officers who served under President Michel Aoun, Moukheiber considered that it was up to the judiciary to end this dispute.
