MOUSSA: LEBANON DOES NOT DEPEND ON TILLERSON’S ASSURANCES TO KEEP CALM IN SOUTH

MP Michel Moussa said on Friday that Lebanon did not only rely on the assurances of US Secretary Rex Tillerson to ensure a continued state of calm in South Lebanon.

“The unified Lebanese position has had a significant impact in this regard, and it will continue to confirm that Lebanon has oil rights that it will never give up,” the lawmaker told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.

“Negotiations will take time, and the United States should play a positive role in this context, especially as it has no interest in creating a problem in the region,” he added.
