Syrian Social Nationalist Party Media Section Dean, Ma’en Hameih, categorically denied all rumors circulating on social media about the emergence of armed men and clashes in Beirut and other areas of Lebanon.

He emphasized in a statement this evening that “these rumors are unfounded and a figment of the imagination,” deeming certain suspicious sides as being behind them.

Hamieh, thus, called on “the security and military apparatuses to pursue rumour-mongers and take deterrent measures through the implementation of judicial subpoenas and the application of the law.”
