The South Korean and American forces began today, Thursday, joint live-fire exercises to simulate a “large-scale attack” from North Korea .

A statement from the Defense Ministry in Seoul said: “About 2,500 soldiers are taking part in the 5-day exercise, which was launched in Bucheon, near the border with North Korea.”

According to the Ministry: Tanks, howitzers and combat aircraft are participating in the exercises.
