MINISTER OF ECONOMY REFERS 27 WARRANTS TO JUDICIARY AGAINST COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISES

Minister of Economy and Trade, Raoul Nehme, on Tuesday referred to the judiciary 27 warrants against a number of commercial enterprises across Lebanon over violation of the laws in force.

 

The Directorate of Consumer Protection issued its weekly report, from July 13 to July 17, 2020, according to which it had paid 820 inspection visits to various Lebanese territories.

 

Consequently, 43 warrants have been issued against commercial establishments over violating the laws and regulations in force, especially in terms of unjustified increment of food and consumer goods prices, lack of commitment to the official fuel price, and failure to adhere to the official price of electric generator services.
