Caretaker Minister of Industry, Dr. Imad Hoballah, and Vice President of the Lebanese Industrialists Association, Ziad Bekdash, on Thursday held a press conference at the Ministry of Industry to announce a number of new job opportunities in various fields within the industrial sector.
“Despite the stifling financial and economic conditions, we reiterate the fact that the productive sector must be given top priority. (…) We have hundreds of new jobs created in the fields of medicine, masks, and food industries. Today, we are announcing, along with the Industrialists’ Association, two hundred new job opportunities,” Hoballah said, adding that the job descriptions will be available on the ministry’s and the association’s websites.
The Caretaker Minister called on workers not to waste any job opportunity. “Employment opportunities are equal to all those who apply; to employers I say that they should follow up to secure new job opportunities. We are ready to open markets to them abroad and support them in negotiations in this regard. The quality of local production is improving, and we ask institutions to support workers, especially in the productive field,” Hoballah said.
“Without production, there is no future for Lebanon; it is the mainstay of the economy. Vaccines for industrialists should be among the top priorities,” he added.
