Beirut: Defense Minister, Michel Menassa, on Monday received Saudi Arabia's new ambassador to Lebanon, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, in a courtesy visit marking the start of the ambassador's mission. The two sides reaffirmed the depth of the historic and fraternal ties between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. Menassa praised the Kingdom's continued support for Lebanon, its institutions and people, as well as its role in efforts aimed at securing a lasting cessation of hostilities in Lebanon and the region.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Menassa welcomed Saudi Arabia's recent decision to reopen its markets to Lebanese exports, describing it as a positive boost for the Lebanese economy. For his part, Ambassador Al-Dosari reiterated Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting the Lebanese state and underscored the strong bonds linking the two countries and their peoples. The meeting concluded with Menassa wishing the ambassador success in his new post.
