Beirut: Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Dr. Fadi Makki, on Wednesday welcomed Estonian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ingrid Amer, accompanied by Estonian Foreign Ministry advisor, Ambassador Jri Kahn. The meeting focused on activating the memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform and the Republic of Estonia, particularly in areas of coordination on training, technical support, and digital governance for Lebanon’s public sector.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Ambassador Amer expressed Estonia’s willingness to support the ministry’s efforts in implementing digital transformation across the public administration, highlighting Estonia’s globally recognized success in this field. The discussion underscored the importance of leveraging Estonia’s expertise in digital governance to enhance operational efficiency and transparency within Lebanon’s public sector.
The meeting also addressed collaborative initiatives to provide technical support and training for Lebanese officials, aiming to equip them with necessary skills to navigate and manage digital systems effectively. Both parties reiterated their commitment to fostering a robust partnership to drive forward digital innovation in public administration.
