Beirut: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has continued its road rehabilitation and maintenance efforts on the international highway extending from Nahr Ibrahim to Madfoun, utilizing the services of the appointed contractor. The project includes asphalting and repairing damaged road sections, with future phases aimed at enhancing public safety through measures such as road re-striping, installing reflective road studs, and updating traffic signage.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, contractor teams are also making progress on the coastal international highway connecting Beirut, Khaldeh, and Awali. These operations focus primarily on addressing infrastructure issues related to persistent water overflow, especially on the eastbound lanes near Shamsine Bakery. The project will eventually move forward to include road resurfacing, repairing damaged areas, and implementing traffic safety enhancements.
