Beirut: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation works on the expansion joint of Al-Fidar Bridge, as part of the national plan for the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads and bridges ‘Lebanon on Track’, covering various regions across the country.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the works were completed ahead of schedule despite logistical challenges and heavy traffic. The maintenance efforts were carried out during nighttime hours to minimize disruption to traffic flow and were implemented in line with the highest public safety standards.
The Ministry extends its appreciation to citizens for their patience and understanding during the implementation phase. It also calls for continued cooperation in the coming period, as similar works are set to begin soon on Al-Ghazir Bridge in accordance with the pre-established timeline.
The Ministry reiterates its commitment to citizens’ safety and to the efficient execution of bridge and road rehabilitation projects with the highest level of professionalism. It affirms that any temporary disruptions caused by ongoing works serve the public interest and will lead to long-term benefits through improved infrastructure and enhanced mobility.
