Beirut: Clashes between Yemen's Houthi rebels and government forces have resulted in the deaths of 81 combatants since Thursday, military officials and medical sources report. The ongoing conflict has seen significant losses on both sides, further escalating tensions in the region.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, a military official stationed on the Red Sea coast confirmed that 24 of his men had been killed in the recent clashes. Meanwhile, another official based in the inland Taiz area reported 15 fatalities among government forces in that region. Additionally, medical sources in areas controlled by the Houthis indicated that at least 42 militants from their group were killed during the same period.
