Minister of Culture, Judge Mohammed Wissam Al-Murtada, on Friday welcomed in his office at the Ministry the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Nicoletta Bombardiere, with whom he discussed the means to bolster cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture and antiquities.

Discussions also touched on the projects which Italy contributes to through its missions in Lebanon, in particular in the field of archaeological excavations or the restoration of some archaeological and heritage sites damaged by the Beirut Port explosion, as well as Italy’s contribution to the restoration of the Sursock palace and others.
