MP Abdullah and Public Works Minister Address Urgent Infrastructure Needs

Beirut: MP Bilal Abdullah, a member of the Democratic Gathering bloc, visited Minister of Public Works Fayez Rasamny on Thursday to extend his congratulations on Rasamny’s new ministerial responsibilities. The meeting focused on pressing infrastructure issues, particularly concerning public transport and airport conditions.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions highlighted Abdullah’s concerns regarding the deteriorating state of the main road connecting Jezzine to Iqlim al-Kharroub, especially near the town of Khraybet Bisri. Abdullah emphasized the critical need for road rehabilitation and maintenance, including the construction of a retaining wall above the Bisri River to prevent potential collapse. Minister Rasamny responded by directing the relevant departments within the ministry to prioritize this issue.

Additionally, the conversation addressed the progress of the governmental buildings complex in Chehime, a project initiated by former MP Dr. Mohammad Hajjar. This complex is expected to streamline administrative services for the residents of Iqlim al-Kharroub, while also addressing challenges related to office rentals and disputes.
