Beirut: MP Firas Hamdan on Monday said after meeting President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, that restoring public trust in state institutions requires a just and capable state that enforces the rule of law equally, respects the Constitution and safeguards citizens' rights without discrimination. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hamdan stressed that protecting Lebanese citizens, ending Israeli attacks, rebuilding war-damaged areas and ensuring residents can remain on their land in dignity and security must remain at the forefront of national priorities, away from political divisions and narrow interests. He added that building a strong and fair state is not a long-term aspiration but an urgent national necessity, describing it as the key to protecting Lebanon, strengthening the resilience of its people and reinforcing long-term stability.
