Nassar Meets IMF Delegation to Review Judicial Reform Progress

Beirut: Justice Minister, Adel Nassar, on Wednesday received at the Ministry of Justice a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Ernesto Rigo, Chief of Mission for Lebanon. The meeting focused on the key achievements made at the Ministry since Minister Nassar assumed office, particularly in relation to major judicial reforms.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, discussions highlighted the draft law on judicial independence and the recent judicial appointments, along with the implementation of recommendations from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The talks also addressed the necessary steps to remove Lebanon from the FATF’s grey list, with Minister Nassar reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and strengthening the rule of law as part of Lebanon’s broader reform agenda.
