President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, left Rafic Hariri International Airport on Monday for Baghdad on a two-day official visit to Iraq upon the invitation of his Iraqi counterpart, President Mohamed Fouad Masoum.
President Aoun is accompanied by an official delegation comprising ministers Hussein al-Hajj Hassan (Industry), Nuhad al-Mashnouk (Interior), Nicola Tueni (State for Combating Corruption), and Avedis Guidanian (Tourism), in addition to MP Hagop Pakradounian and a consultative, administrative and media delegation to be joined in Baghdad by Lebanon’s ambassador to Iraq Ali Habhab.
President Aoun and the accompanying delegation will travel from Baghdad to the Armenian capital, Yerevan, on Wednesday for a two-day state visit upon the invitation of Armenian president, Serzh Sarkisian. The delegation will then include Lebanon’s ambassador to Armenia, Maya Dagher.
