ARMY: 10274 HOUSING UNITS AFFECTED BY PORT EXPLOSION WILL BENEFIT FROM COMPENSATION

The Army Command – Orientation Directorate – held a press conference this Friday at the Ministry of National Defense, to explain the mechanism that will be adopted in distributing financial aid to the owners of housing units that were damaged by the explosion of Beirut Port.

 

The LAF announced via Twitter that the payment mechanism that it will adopt in distributing 100 billion Lebanese pounds to the owners of the damaged housing units has been determined, and that based on the classification of units that was made during the damage survey phase, the distribution mechanism will include houses classified within the “normal” and “mild” damage categories.

 

He announced that “the number of housing units to benefit from aid is at 10274, and the Army Command will inform citizens through circulars and phone calls about the dates for receiving their aid, provided that each beneficiary signs a pledge to use compensation in the process of restoring his home.”
