BERRI MEETS WITH CHILEAN AMBASSADOR, CONTINUES TO RECEIVE CONGRATULATORY CABLES ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, met at Ain El-Tineh today with the Chilean Ambassador to Lebanon, Mauricio Ugalde, with whom he tackled the general prevailing situation and bilateral relations.

 

The Speaker also met with Ambassador Carla El-Jazzar, who visited him on the occasion of assuming her new duties as Lebanon’s Ambassador to Brazil.

 

Meanwhile, the House Speaker continued to receive congratulatory messages and calls on the occasion of Lebanon’s 77th Independence Day anniversary from his various Arab and international counterparts.

 

In this context, Berri received a congratulatory cable from Iranian Shoura Council Head, Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf, in which the latter expressed his hope for “strengthening bilateral relations and fraternal cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Lebanese Republic, based on constructive understanding and common interests of both countries, and to develop aspects of collaboration in various fields, particularly at the parliamentary level.”
