GEAGEA WARNS AGAINST TOUCHING RESERVE FUNDS DEPOSITED AT CENTRAL BANK

NNA – Lebanese Forces Party Leader, Samir Geagea, stepped-up against the intention of some state officials to use the mandatory reserve remaining in the central bank.

“No official in the state, regardless of his position, whether he is the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, or the Central Bank Governor, has any right to think about using what remains of the citizens’ properties and savings,” Geagea said.

“Any attempt to touch the legal reserve will expose the perpetrators, regardless of their status, to subsequent criminal prosecution,” he warned.
