LEBANESE OFFICIALS CALL FOR RESPECTING OTHERS AND THEIR SANCTITIES ON PROPHET MUHAMMAD’S BIRTHDAY

The Lebanese leaders congratulated the Lebanese people, in general, and the Muslims, in particular, on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, highlighting the need to respect others and their sanctities.

In this context, Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri pointed out that “murder and terrorism are two reasons for denunciation, rejection and condemnation, and insulting the Prophet is an attack on the feelings of Muslims in the East and the West Islam remains the basis of coexistence, encounter and dialogue between peoples.”

Lebanese Forces Leader, Samir Geagea, also considered this Eid as an occasion to affirm brotherhood, tolerance and respect for others, for their sacredness and freedom, away from violence and insult.
