PROTESTERS BLOCK ROADS IN AL-NOUR SQUARE, AL-BEDDAWI’S MANKOUBEEN AGAINST AILING LIVING CONDITIONS

A group of protesters blocked the roads in Tripoli’s Al-Nour Square and Beddawi’s Al-Mankoubeen in protest against the deteriorating economic and daily living conditions and in rejection of the decision to extend the total lockdown.

Protesters set fire to waste containers outside the entrance to the Tripoli Serail, and cut off the road, amid heavy deployment of internal security forces tasked with protecting the Serail.

A number of young men started to randomly hurl stones at the Serail Square, chanting slogans condemning the state’s economic policy, demanding the recovery of looted money and holding the corrupt accountable.
