Protesters gather outside Ashrafieh’s electricity company under the ’24/24′ slogan

A number of protesters gathered in front of the “Electricite du Liban” in the area of Ashrafieh this evening, under the slogan of “24/24”, demanding that EDL provides power supply 24 hours a day.

Demonstrators also carried banners that read: “EDL bears 46 percent of Lebanon’s public debt as a result of the waste and corruption that dominate this sector.”

Some of the protesters set up tents in front of the company to sleep in, announcing their intention to stay in place for 24 hours in line with their demand for 24/24 electricity supply.
