Agriculture Minister Ghazi Zeaiter stated Sunday that the page of disputes and confessional provocation in the country has been turned, noting, however, that an apology to all the Lebanese is still required.
“In light of the Israeli enemy’s threats and constant hostility, we must realize the perils, the last of which was launched by the Israeli Security Minister against our maritime Bloc 9, probably to pave the way for an enemy attack against Lebanon expected at any moment and without any justification,” said Zeaiter in an interview to “Radio Lebanon” Channel.
On the recent events in the locality of al-Hadath, Zeaiter asserted that “Amal” Movement did not decide on any protest action in said area or elsewhere, recalling that throughout its history, the Movement has always called for unity and cooperation between the Lebanese.
“There may have been some actions in some places and demonstrations to denounce the words uttered by the Lebanese diplomacy representative and in solidarity with House Speaker Berri without any decision taken by side,” he explained.
Zeaiter finally stressed on commitment to the stability and security of Lebanon and the Lebanese.
