Nizar Mohammad Saeed Elected President of Iraq

Baghdad: The Iraqi Parliament voted today to elect Nizar Mohammed Saeed as President of the Republic of Iraq.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Parliament's Media Office announced in a statement that the election saw Nizar Mohammed Saeed receive 227 votes, securing his position as President.

The statement also detailed that the second candidate, MP Muthanna Amin Nader, garnered 15 votes. Additionally, seven ballots were declared invalid during the voting process.
