ONE MISSILE TARGETS AN IRAQI MILITARY BASE INCLUDING AMERICANS

On Sunday, a missile attack targeted the Iraqi base of Ain al-Assad, located in Anbar in western Iraq, which includes American soldiers, according to what a security source told AFP, in an attack that came the day after the announcement of the victory of the hard-line conservative Ibrahim Raisi in the Iranian presidential elections.

Fourty-three attacks have targeted US interests in Iraq since the beginning of the year, including the US embassy in Baghdad, Iraqi military bases that include Americans, and the Baghdad and Erbil airports, as well as logistical convoys of the international anti-jihadist coalition led by Washington, in attacks often attributed to Iraqi factions loyal to Iran.
