Beirut: Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad al-Asaad, engaged in discussions with the Australian Ambassador to Lebanon, Tom Wilson, focusing on the current developments concerning Palestine. During the meeting, al-Asaad provided an update on the situation in Palestine and reiterated the Palestinian people's inalienable right to establish an independent state, return to their homeland, and exercise self-determination.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, al-Asaad expressed his appreciation for Australia's recognition of a Palestinian state, viewing this acknowledgment as a step towards justice and peace in the region. He emphasized the importance of upholding the agreements reached between Presidents Mahmoud Abbas and Joseph Aoun, highlighting a commitment to reinforcing Lebanese-Palestinian relations and protecting the rights of refugees in the area.
