Beirut: The Palestinian Scholars Association has issued a sharp rebuke to the Arab, Muslim, and international community following the storming of al-Aqsa by 50,000 settlers. This incident has sparked widespread concern and condemnation from various quarters.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the event coincides with the approval by the US State Department of potential military sales worth over $6.05 billion to Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Iraq. These sales are set to bolster US defense ties with these key regional partners. The most substantial portion of this deal is a $5 billion package for Saudi Arabia, which includes more than 10,000 JDAM guidance kits and 10,004 bombs. Additionally, Saudi Arabia will receive 60 AGT-1500 tank engines under a separate $750 million agreement.

In parallel, Oman is poised to benefit from $188 million in F-16 sustainment support, while Iraq's acquisition includes Bell 412EPX helicopters and related equipment valued at $150 million. The State Department emphasizes that these sales are intended to enhance the defense capabilities of these nations, improve their interoperability with US forces and partners, and address both current and future regional threats.
