Papal Ambassador Tours Christian Border Towns in Marjayoun and Hasbaya: The Church Stands by the Lebanese during this difficult time

Beirut: The Apostolic Nuncio to Lebanon, Monsignor Paolo Borgia, conducted an inspection tour that included several Christian border towns in the Marjayoun and Hasbaya districts, in a message of moral support to the residents and to encourage them to remain steadfast in their land. The Papal envoy began his tour in the town of Deir Mimas, before moving on to Qlayaa, Jdeidet Marjayoun, and Ebl Al-Saki, reaching Rashaya al-Fakhar and Kawkaba.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in the town of Qlayaa, Monsignor Borgia-accompanied by Father Samir Ghaoui, President of the "Caritas Lebanon" Association, and Dr. Fouad Abou Nader, President of the "Nawraj" Association-was received by a crowd of residents from the towns of Qlayaa and Burj al-Muluk, along with Qlayaa's Municipality head Hanna Edmond, Parish Priest's Assistant Father Antonius Farah, and several local dignitaries.

Speakers stressed the residents' adherence to their land despite the difficult circumstances, while the Qlayaa municipality head affirmed that "the people of Qlayaa remain steadfast in their land and will not abandon it, no matter how hard the challenges."

For his part, the Papal Ambassador reaffirmed "the Church's stand by the Lebanese during this difficult time."
