Beirut: A series of parliamentary committee meetings took place today, focusing on critical national issues ranging from economic planning to social welfare.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the day commenced with simultaneous sessions at 10:00 am. The Committee on National Economy, Trade, Industry, and Planning, chaired by MP Farid Boustani, convened in Room 310 of the Committee Hall on the third floor of the MPs’ Offices Building. At the same time, the Committee on Public Works, Transport, Energy, and Water, led by MP Sajih Attieh, gathered on the fourth floor to discuss upcoming plans and projects with the Minister of Energy and Water. Additionally, the Committee on Women and Children, chaired by MP Inaya Ezzeddine, met to review a UNICEF report on the impact of war on children in Lebanon.
At 11:00 am, Justice Minister Adel Nassar held a meeting with Salman Athar, the Ambassador of Pakistan, in his office. Concurrently, Labor Minister Dr. Mohammad Haidar held a press conference at the ministry building. In the presence of NSSF Director General Dr. Mohammad Karaki and Dr. Sleiman Haroun from the Private Hospitals Syndicate, Dr. Haidar announced new regulatory measures for social security and improved healthcare benefits.
Later in the day, at 1:30 pm, Minister of Information Paul Morcos visited his alma mater, Fr¨res School in Furn El Chebbak, where he was welcomed by the school’s administration.
