PM Nawaf Salam Chairs Cabinet Session at Grand Serail

Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, is currently chairing a Cabinet session at the Grand Serail, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri and a wide array of ministers, including those from Culture, Defense, Energy and Water, Tourism, Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Economy and Trade, the Displaced and Information Technology Affairs, Interior and Municipalities, Justice, Telecommunications, Youth and Sports, Education and Higher Education, Industry, Administrative Development Affairs, Labor, Public Works and Transport, Agriculture, Information, Environment, and Public Health.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the session also sees the presence of Dr. Antoine Choucair, Director-General of the Lebanese presidency, and Judge Mahmoud Makkieh, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers. Prime Minister Salam opened the session by stating that the Cabinet will hold consecutive meetings next week to present and discuss the budget. He further emphasized the Cabinet's upcoming agenda, highlighting that the issue concerning the full-time status for Lebanese University professors will be addressed in the session scheduled for next Thursday, as he had previously committed.
