Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Thursday received at the Grand Serail, French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herv© Magro, and the new French representative in the Cessation of Hostilities Monitoring Committee, General Valentin Seiler. The discussion reportedly touched on the current situation, the work of the monitoring committee, and the importance of activating it in order to maintain security and stability.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Premier Salam later received at the Grand Serail, UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, Blerta Aliko, and Mr. Sateh Arnaout. The focus of the meeting was not specified in the report.
Separately, Salam received a delegation from the Central and Northern Dreib region within Akkar Governorate. The delegation raised with the Premier stringent developmental demands related to the region. The meeting signifies the government’s ongoing engagement with regional representatives to address local concerns.
