PM Nawaf Salam Engages with Key Delegations to Strengthen Development and Anti-Corruption Efforts

Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, engaged with significant delegations on Wednesday, focusing on development and anti-corruption initiatives. He first met with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development delegation, led by Chairman and Director General Bader Mohammed Al-Saad, alongside Nabil El-Jisr, Chairman of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR).

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, during the meeting, Prime Minister Salam welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the longstanding partnership between Lebanon and the Fund. He expressed hope for continued and expanded cooperation across various priority areas. Premier Salam highlighted the importance of seizing the historic opportunity presented by the Arab Fund’s interest in Lebanon to make progress across multiple sectors.

Following the discussions, Bader Mohammed Al-Saad remarked on the positive nature of the meeting, reaffirming the Arab Fund’s commitment to supporting Lebanon in both ongoing and future projects. Al-Saad conveyed optimism and high expectations, assuring Premier Salam of continued collaboration with the Lebanese government.

In a separate engagement, Premier Salam met with a delegation from the Lebanon Certified Anti-Corruption Managers (LCACM), led by President Gina Chammas. The meeting was also attended by Professor Mike Masoud, representing the American Anti-Corruption Institute (AACI) in the Middle East and Africa, underscoring Lebanon’s ongoing efforts to combat corruption and promote transparency.
