Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam engaged in a phone conversation with former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt, where they both stressed the significance of maintaining Syria’s unity and fostering understanding among all its citizens under the Syrian state.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussion also highlighted the necessity of demonstrating prudence and wisdom in Lebanon to prevent reactions that could lead to internal tensions. Premier Salam praised the efforts of Jumblatt and other Lebanese leaders in various regions for working to avert internal disputes that could jeopardize Lebanon’s stability and its path to reinforcing state authority, which is the reference for all Lebanese.
