Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday welcomed UK Deputy Chief of Defense Staff for Strategy and Military Operations, Air Marshal Harvey Smith, and an accompanying delegation at the Grand Serail. British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, was also present at the meeting.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions focused on the bilateral relations between Lebanon and the United Kingdom, particularly in the areas of security and military cooperation. The situation in south Lebanon and broader regional and international developments were also on the agenda.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Salam highlighted the necessity of a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territories, underscoring this as a critical issue in the discussions.
